We Have Not Come to Take Prisoners — Hafiz has been seen on the streets of Tehran and Shiraz?   I pray every day, many times a day in fact, that the spirit of Hafiz is with the people of Iran.  Their courage is remarkable.   See what I mean here.

Articles written from within Iran in a Wall Street Journal piece titled “The Fear is Gone”.    Do I hear the Iranian people saying that the fear of surrender is now greater than the fear of revolution?

Bush criticizes the Obama administrations policies?   George, your father quietly allowed you to make your own mistakes.   Please, at long last, follow in the shadow of your father’s better judgement.

Apparantly I missed the hand over the heart swearing – in where George promises to tell the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth.  Shut up George.  The bailiff will bring you to the witness stand in due time.

The price of gas spiked in the 70s when I was a boy.   I found the epithets used in reference to Muslims, at least in my small circle of family and friends, to be repulsive, egregiously so.   I recall wanting a word like egregious to describe these fits of rage that came over grown men in torrents.   (read the rest of this article here)

Rave on Newt, Rave on!

June 10, 2009

Newt, you just made yourself as relevant as Sunday night’s macaroni that I just washed down the disposal.

Ten banks are paying back the loans that they needed as a result of your party’s  8 years of misregulation, and it is President Obama who has failed in his fourth month in office?

Former conservative, new independent, grossly offended by your assumption of my ignorance,

Ajnone

Lord, grant me the clarity to see things differently, without illusion, as they really are.

President Obama has demonstrated the courage to change, the serenety to accept and the wisdom to know the difference.

After 9/11 I prayed, literally, that President Bush would have the strength to embrace Machiavelli and the Serenety Prayer simultaneously to effect a long overdue change in America’s blind support of Israel.

God bless you Mr. President.  Lead on President Obama.   Lead on, Sir.
