What I was reading on May 31,2008
What the McCain campaign was saying on May 31, 2008.
Note the date on the two links above.
The top link above takes you to an article foreshadowing the events of the past week that I read sometime around the date it was published. I’ve been reading articles like this one for nearly four years now. In stark contrast, John McCain told America as recently as last week that the economy is fundamentally sound. John McCain doesn’t read, doesn’t believe America reads, doesn’t care or has been too engrossed in preserving his party’s stay in the White House to do tell the truth. Senator McCain had seven years to stand up to the abuses of this administration and did nothing. This is the party maverick with a BIG M?
Please read the article in the first link above then listen to the campaign video in the second link. In this video, a McCain campaign leader tells America to embrace the selfless service to a cause greater than self.
John McCain did not have the courage to face down the most important “greater cause” within his sphere of influence during his tenure. Rather than confront the enemy of the day, he opted to pray that the banking system would implode after the election. Is this strong leadership?
John McCain demonstrated truly heroic courage in battle. I’m not so sure I would have made the same brave decisions he made in battle and in prison. I have, though, had the strength to stand up to the abuse and egregious mismanagement of the present administration.
John, you were a tremendous soldier. For that America is indebted. We are indebted as well for your silence during the Bush administration’s manipulation, destruction and bailout of the most powerful military/banking empire the planet has ever known. You have without a doubt lost the will for selfless service to a cause greater than self. You, John McCain, are not qualified to lead America at this time.
Obama for America.
